The Story behind the name AmaniPaz

The Story behind the name AmaniPaz

A long time ago... before I ever made soap, before markets, before this business existed... I needed a name for the internet. Not a screen name or a brand…  just something unique to use for my new email address.

Around that time, my mom had given me a bracelet engraved with the word peace in different languages. I always loved the sentiment of it, and two of the words on the bracelet stayed with me:

Amani — Swahili for peace

Paz — Spanish for peace

I put them together simply because they felt good together. Peace upon peace. A gentle little lull.

So AmaniPaz became my online identity. Email, logins, everything.

I never planned for it to become anything more.

Years later, when I started making soap and needed a name for my business, nothing sounded like “me” except the name I had already carried for so long. A name with meaning. A name with history. A name tied to my mom, to that bracelet, and to a simple idea of peace.

Even the circle in my logo connects back to that bracelet. The shape represents unity, harmony, and balance... a quiet, natural symbol that fit perfectly without me ever having to force it.

That’s really all there is to it.

No big marketing angle,  just something sincere that stayed with me over the years.

And now it’s the name on every product I make:

AmaniPaz. Peace upon peace.
